The Exchange 05:47
can I trade this fractured heart for a single, focused love? turn my heart to you turn my heart to you can I trade this hollow soul for the fullness of your presence? fill my soul in you fill my soul in you I was made in you, and you make me alive I was made by you, you make me satisfied can I trade these idle hands for the building of Your kingdom? move my hands for you move my hands for you can I trade this boastful mouth for the chorus of creation? draw my praise to you draw my praise to you I was made in you, and you make me alive I was made by you, you make me satisfied you made me to be alive alive in you beautiful and true only you are good you are you made me to be alive alive in you brokenness and shame are all I have to bring to you take my sacrifice and bring me back to life in you you are good you are true you love making all things new you are beautiful and kind and our joy is your delight

Hallowed 05:23
for bending knee to you alone the penalty was death the heat of the inferno would take their final breath you stood with them in flames they called you Shelter you’re still our shelter now the ground worn hard from footfalls was a mirror for their hearts as parents slip to memory their children find the start after forty years they called you Faithful you still are faithful now hallowed be your name hallowed be your great name we elevate you in our praise you’ve always been, you never change the motherhood you offered was not what she planned but she trusted the beauty of a future in your hands choosing you alone she called you Promise you’re still our promise now hallowed be your name hallowed be your great name we elevate you in our praise you’ve always been, you never change hallowed be your name hallowed be your great name we stand in awe of who you are and place you high above all else if we searched the universe would we find a shelter safer? if we searched the universe would we find a faithfulness like yours? hallowed

I will break your heart if you know me just to let you know I can't shake this dark just below me how do I let it go? hold on hold me hold on to me I will take your heart if you show me how to let it grow will it shake this dark that doesn't own me? to never be alone hold on hold me hold on to me would you let me know who I am? first last once again would you let me know who I am? who I am not? hold on hold me hold on to me

Greater 06:12
you work everything for good I thought I understood thought you work tiny good things from mass destruction but now I do believe nothing is at it seems at this and every moment you’re restoring your good is greater than the darkness all around your peace is stronger than the chaos that abounds my hope rests on you and in your love that overcomes ‘cause when it looks like darkness wins oh I know your good is greater I got proportions wrong I thought all along that you were silver lining on a storm cloud but downpour from the sky is unearthing new life carving living canyons in the desert you are lighting up the night turning death into life building something new your stream gains strength as it goes healing hearts in its flow renewal only comes from you you are turning bleak into bright you are turning broken to right you are, you are you are turning death into life you are turning dark into light you are, you are

about

Prayer is a word we use to describe our attempts to engage with our Creator. We believe that prayer can assume many different expressions, but we do not presume to understand the entirety of this phenomenon. This album is a collection of some of our prayers set to music. We hope you can experience the longing, struggle, hope, fear, and joy along with us as you listen, and that you will find yourself inspired to engage with your Creator in new ways.

When Daniel Pimentel moved to Honduras in the fall of 2019, it initiated what felt like a significant creative shift for the rest of the band, and little did we know how significant it would turn out to be. The COVID-19 pandemic began shortly after we began writing this album, which resulted in us writing the majority of these songs in separate physical spaces, but this shift in modality helped us see how to include Daniel in the recording process. We wouldn’t choose this particular approach again, but we are thankful for what we’ve learned through navigating it.
